Five RBI Day For Bryan Wilson Seals The Deal In Wangaratta Rangers Victory Over Wodonga Warriors

Bryan Wilson was an RBI machine on Sunday, driving in five on three hits to lead Wangaratta Rangers  past Wodonga Warriors 17-5 on Sunday. Wilson drove in runs on a home run in the second and a home run in the third.

Wangaratta Rangers earned the victory despite allowing Wodonga Warriors White to score three runs in the third inning. Wodonga Warriors batters contributing to the big inning included Fraser Chadwick and Jesse Griffiths, who each had RBIs in the inning.

In the first inning, Wangaratta Rangers B got their offense started. Nathan Pool drew a walk, scoring one run.

Wangaratta Rangers Black tallied seven runs in the third inning. Rangers batters contributing to the big inning included Shaun O’Neil, Tetsu Kamiyama, Rob Seymour, Wilson, and Pool, who all drove in runs.

Wilson got the win for Wangaratta. He went three and a third innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out six and walking one.

Chadwick took the loss for Wodonga Warriors White. They surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning, striking out two and walking zero.

Ash Meyers started the game for Wodonga Warriors White. He went four innings, allowing 11 runs on 11 hits, striking out two and walking one Aaron Parker started the game for Wangaratta. They went four innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out one and walking one

Wangaratta Rangers tallied three home runs on the day. Owen Godenzi had a homer in the sixth inning. Wilson had a dinger in the second and third innings.

Wangaratta Rangers Black tallied 17 hits on the day. Cam Scott, Wilson, Godenzi, Seymour, and Kamiyama all managed multiple hits for Wangaratta Rangers. Wilson and Scott all had three hits to lead Wangaratta.

Wodonga Warriors collected eight hits. Lance Keighran, Tyson Berry, and Chadwick all managed multiple hits for Wodonga Warriors White. Keighran led Wodonga Warriors with three hits in four at bats.

4-Hit Day For Peruzzo As Wangaratta Rangers B Skirts Past Wodonga Warriors B

Four hits from Steve Peruzzo helped lead the way for Wangaratta Rangers B over Wodonga Warriors B 19-5 on Sunday. Peruzzo singled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.

Wangaratta  got things moving in the first inning, when Tony Smith singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Jason Jonker was the winning pitcher for Wangaratta Rangers. They lasted five innings, allowing eight hits and four runs while striking out six.

Michael Clear took the loss for Wodonga Warriors. He surrendered 12 runs on 16 hits over four innings, striking out three.

Cameron Jones started the game for Wodonga Warriors Maroon.

Wangaratta Rangers Orange tallied 19 hits. Peruzzo, Damien French, Smith, Ian Dinsdale, Brendon French, Marcus Therkleson, and Heath French each racked up multiple hits for Wangaratta Rangers Orange . Peruzzo went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Wangaratta Rangers Orange in hits. Smith led Wangaratta Rangers Orange with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 12 stolen bases.

Wodonga Warriors totaled eight hits in the game. Jack Sleep and Carlos Lotan all managed multiple hits for Wodonga Warriors B .
